SEMPO 2016 Member Forum, March 10-11, Will Include Inaugural Global Awards
Wakefield, Mass. (PRWEB) January 20, 2016 -- SEMPO, the world's largest nonprofit organization serving the search and digital marketing industry and the marketing professionals engaged in it, announced that its first global in-person event, the SEMPO 2016 Member Forum in San Diego, March 10-11, will include presentation of the first SEMPO Global Awards. Nominations are open until January 22; and nominees must be SEMPO members.
For this inaugural event, SEMPO members will join their digital marketing peers at The Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter. The conference will provoke progressive thinking, offer comparative discussions about new tools and techniques, and promote sharing of search marketing and social media best practices, as well as delivering ample networking opportunities. The keynote speaker will be Nicolas Darveau-Garneau, Director of Performance Marketing at Google.
SEMPO members are urged to register soon, as space is finite. Discount early-bird registration is available through January 22.
An important way in which the SEMPO Member Forum differs from other industry events is the process for developing its agenda: industry professionals were invited to suggest sessions on the topics most important to them, based on their areas of expertise. The event's Program Committee then selected the topics of greatest interest and those most relevant to industry trends. As a result, the program will provide attendees with actionable information and insights to improve individual and corporate performance, and enhance professional success.
A highlight of the conference will be the presentation of the first SEMPO Global Awards, which are chosen by the members, for the members, to recognize deserving recipients from three segments:
• Teams and Individuals from Agencies/SEM Firms or Consultants
• Brand/In-House Marketing Teams and Individuals
• Search Ecosystem Companies Technologies/Tools
The recipients in each category will have shown fresh insight and/or contributed significant research towards execution of meaningful best practices in search marketing. Finalists will be selected by a panel of distinguished judges comprised of SEMPO leaders and selected industry and media influencers, and SEMPO members will be asked to vote for award recipients during February. Recipients will be announced in San Diego on March 10.
Recipients of the first annual SEMPO Cities Leadership Awards will also be presented on March 10. These awards honor the people whose efforts made SEMPO Cities Month such a success. In October 2015, all nine SEMPO city groups promoted and executed local events simultaneously, reaching hundreds of digital marketing professionals, in four countries on two continents.
"The first SEMPO Global Awards will showcase individuals, teams and tools epitomizing innovation and accomplishment in digital marketing. I urge all SEMPO members to nominate meritorious candidates, and make it a point to vote when balloting opens," said Mike Grehan, SEMPO Chair and CMO, Acronym. "We look forward to highlighting special achievements at the Member Forum, including SEMPO Cities leaders, and we hope all SEMPO members will consider participating in this exciting first-ever event."
Conference sponsorships are available, in a range of categories and packages. Member Forum sponsors will gain significant visibility for their organizations, demonstrate their support for SEMPO in facilitating the international exchange of information relating to search marketing, and contribute to the success of SEMPO and the Member Forum. Current Member Forum sponsors include Google, Gridsum, Marin Software and Yahoo.
SEMPO activities center on education, networking, and its well-respected research.
