Senior LIFE Lehigh Valley Announces Bill Coble As Executive Director
Bethlehem, PA (PRWEB) April 29, 2014 -- Senior LIFE, the largest LIFE provider in Pennsylvania, welcomes Bill Coble as the Executive Director of the Lehigh Valley center located in Bethlehem. The Pennsylvania LIFE Program is part of the national PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) Program.
Senior LIFE Lehigh Valley, which opened on January 1st, is the seventh Senior LIFE center in Pennsylvania providing seniors with health, medical, prescription and personal services so that they can remain living in their homes and communities.
Coble comes to Senior LIFE after ten years with a Colorado PACE Program. In 2009, he was named Executive Director for a new PACE center in Southern Colorado, which grew to 190 members within the first three years. Coble was instrumental in the center’s growth and in providing excellent quality care for participants. He also worked closely with the local community to assure that eligible seniors were aware of their options to receive PACE services and avoid nursing home placement.
“I’m very excited to be at the new Lehigh Valley center,” says Bill Coble. “I’m looking forward to serving our Senior LIFE members here and providing them with the high quality care and services Senior LIFE is known for.”
The PACE program, which is called LIFE in Pennsylvania, is funded by Medicare and Medicaid and provides members with a wide variety of coordinated health and personal care services to address physical, emotional, and social needs both in the Senior LIFE Center and in the member’s home. These critical support services allow eligible seniors to remain independent and live at home longer, more safely, and more comfortably.
Senior LIFE Lehigh Valley participants must be 55 years of age or older and live in Lehigh or Northampton Counties. They must also be determined as medically eligible based on health conditions, and financially eligible based on income and assets. For those who are not financially eligible, there is an option to pay privately for the services. Among Senior LIFE members, 99% receive all services at no cost. As one of the leading and fastest growing PACE providers in the state, Senior LIFE brings a successful PACE model, innovation and high quality healthcare services, innovation to Lehigh Valley.
Senior LIFE Lehigh Valley is part of the national Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), which is called LIFE in Pennsylvania. PACE, which was developed in San Francisco in the 1970s, is now celebrating a historic milestone as it has reached 100 programs. PACE’s innovative model of care is designed as an alternative to nursing homes with the goal of keeping seniors active in their communities and living in their homes.
PACE programs bring together a coordinated team of doctors, nurses, social workers and therapists to provide seniors with an individualized care plan that addresses each person’s unique medical care and social needs. The result is higher quality care and far more favorable outcomes compared to traditional care options.
