Senkatel® Releases Two New Tablets Designed for the K-12 Education Market; Model T1011 Powered by New Intel® Atom™ Processor
TORONTO, Canada (PRWEB) July 17, 2013 -- Senkatel Corporation, a global supplier of affordable, high-performance tablets, HDTV peripherals and consumer electronics products, today introduced two new Google Android® tablets with features and integrated software specifically targeting the K-12 education market. Senkatel recently demonstrated the T9702 tablet at the International Society for Technology in Education 2013 exhibition in San Antonio, Texas on June 24-26, 2013.
Designed for both content consumption and creation, the new T9702 uses a 9.7-inch 1024 x 768 LCD screen, and the T1011 features a 10.1-inch 1280x800 HD-LCD screen with a powerful, yet energy efficient Intel® Atom™ processor. Both models feature In-Plane Switching (IPS™), which is a wide viewing angle screen technology that maintains clear color reproduction even at off-axis viewing conditions, and a surface-mounted projected capacitive touchscreen technology that tracks five simultaneous touch points.
“Senkatel is addressing the education market’s need for high-quality, affordably priced tablets with embedded learning and security software,” said Joseph Virginia, president of Senkatel USA. “Our T1011 tablet includes both the Intel Education Software (IES™) package for student learning, as well as the Senkatel TPM™ security enhancement to enable schools to protect their capital investments by deploying hardware-hardened, theft deterrent solutions.”
The integrated Intel Education Software (IES) package engages students and promotes learning while providing tools to assist the educator’s facilitated learning initiative. The Senkatel TPM suite restricts access to specifically defined websites and their content, which allows school IT administrators to protect students from unauthorized access and remotely manage the T1011’s usage model.
The tablets feature a built-in, battery-free capacitive passive stylus that works seamlessly with the Intel Education Software for an intuitive writing and drawing experience. Hardware options for the T1011 include a 250X magnification lens for physical science curriculum, along with a thermal probe for inquiry-based scientific learning.
Senkatel’s T1011 tablet has a ruggedized design that stands up to accidental drops, is water resistant and meets stringent IP41 package performance specifications. The T9702 tablet is equipped with Bluetooth 3.0, which allows students to connect a keyboard wirelessly through an optional, integrated slim protective case.
The T9702 and T1011 MSRPs are $219 and $299, respectively, with discounts available for volume purchases. Both tablets are available immediately. For more information, contact sales(at)senkatel(dot)com.
