SenseDriver Announces Positive Impact on its Outlook with Recent News that Harman Has Partnered with Navdy’s Head-up Display
Boston, MA (PRWEB) December 14, 2016 -- SenseDriver is pleased to announce the positive impact on its outlook with the recent announcement about Harman's strategic investment in Navdy's Head-up Display (HUD) technology. (1)
According to Shyam Desigan, Chief Business Development Officer at SenseDriver, “This is very positive news and I’m not that surprised. A few months ago when Samsung visited us they seemed very serious, but my gut feeling tells me they would have liked to see us with the product on the market already. Navdy had that advantage of having their product available on the market.”
A recent IHS Market Survey stated that consumer demand for HUD technology is rapidly increasing. The survey found that 55% of new car buyers in the U.S. would like to have HUD technology in their next car. Companies like Navdy and SenseDriver Technologies are well-positioned to meet the demand of this growing market. SenseDriver claims that their smartphone-powered HUD will be much more affordable than Navdy when it comes to market next year.
Michael Amaru, Co-Founder of SenseDriver says, “This is a very emotional journey for me and this validates my commitment to developing the best head-up display with AI and voice control. I think this news is a kick in the butt to accelerate our efforts to release in 2017.”
SenseDriver’s CEO, Kingsley R. Chin MD, also a board-certified orthopedic surgeon says, “We want to enter the market with a clear message that SenseDriver is focused on releasing the best-in-class head-up display and most user friendly voice-controlled user interface to address the safety issues of our teenage drivers dying at an alarming rate from distracted driving accidents.”
Aditya Humad, Managing Partner of KICVentures stated, “We have kept SenseDriver as a private company with investment only from KICVentures and this has allowed us to be focused on solving the main problem for which this technology will have its global impact, and that is reducing distracted driving around smartphone use. We’re excited by this new development and are preparing to analyze what this will mean to the head-up display market.”
