Sensible Surrogacy in Ukraine Assures Clients with a “Money Back” Promise

The terms of the “Money Back” program are simple. Intended parents are given multiple IVF procedures and embryo transfers for an affordable fee. If the surrogate does not get pregnant, the clinic will refund up to 70% of the medical fees. Sensible Surrogacy also will delay its consulting fees until the surrogate is pregnant.
“This program gives our future parents a 99.5% likelihood of a pregnancy,” said Bill Houghton, Director of Sensible Surrogacy. “We don’t call this a ‘Guarantee’ because only God can guarantee a baby – but we do guarantee the clinic’s total commitment to our parents’ new families. Future parents know they will get the best possible care and be the top priority of the medical team. Under this program the clinic has a vested financial interest in a successful pregnancy as quickly as possible.”
Gestational Surrogacy can be a daunting process – especially overseas. This plan offers assurances to parents who are not familiar or fully comfortable with the surrogacy procedure. The program eliminates the possibility of scams or purposeful delays. Under “Money Back”, the clinic and the Intended Parents both benefit directly from a successful, healthy pregnancy as directly as possible.
“Traditional programs have a built-in conflict of interest,” said Houghton. “With other programs, if the parents don’t get pregnant they need to repeat the process – so the clinic makes more money. The Money Back program makes sure the parents, the clinic and the surrogate mother all have the same motive for success.”
Statistically, the probability of success with 5 healthy embryo transfers is about 99.5%.
So-called “Baby Guarantee” programs are not new, but Houghton warns that they are often misleading. “It’s understandable why some couples are drawn to so-called guarantee programs,” he says, “especially in the United States where surrogacy costs can reach $150,000 USD per pregnancy. But what most U.S. programs offer is not really a “Guarantee” at all because they don’t refund the clients’ money.”
According to the online resource ‘The Surrogacy Guide’, most guarantee programs promise that the clinic will keep doing embryo transfers until the parents give up trying, or until the clinic can establish that the parents are infertile and thus ineligible to continue. “Either way, the clinic doesn’t offer any real certainty that the parents will have a baby. And regardless of the outcome, the clinic keeps your money,” according to the Guide.
It’s important to note that even most refund programs will only give money back if the program fails due to a fault by the clinic. In essence, they are only liable for the money if the clients can show negligence.
