Sentinel Offender Services Welcomes Long-Time Employee Melissa Starr Back to Company
Irvine, CA (PRWEB) January 14, 2014 -- Sentinel Offender Services, a national provider of offender management services and an electronic monitoring equipment manufacturer, is pleased to announce the return of industry-veteran Melissa Starr after three years.
Ms. Starr will be focusing on the field services division based out of Dallas, Texas, untilizing her 17 years of industry experience in her new role establishing partnerships with agency customers, and building programs to effectively assist with offender-funded programs.
Ms. Starr previously worked at Sentinel from 1997 - 2010, where she began as a Case Manager and worked her way up to Regional Manager. Among her duties she managed the daily operations of branch offices and government community corrections contracts across 12 western states.
Ms. Starr said, “I am excited to rejoin the Sentinel team and I look forward to jumping in and having an immediate impact on the operating procedures and delivery of services for our branch offices. Furthermore, I am energized to be working with a group of seasoned veterans that share the same vision that I do for the industry, the customer, and the offender population we serve.”
Ms. Starr possesses a Bachelor’s Degree from Chapman University in Criminal Justice. She is a member of the Association of Women’s Executives in Corrections, American Parole and Probation Associations, and the National Sheriff Association. Her background includes community corrections, criminology, public safety, management, and homeland security.
In addition to her background in offender management, Ms. Starr has held the positions of Vice President and Regional Sales Manager working with government agencies and private sector service providers utilizing RF and GPS tracking solutions. Her extensive background uniquely qualifies her to rejoin Sentinel with enhanced industry knowledge and top notch management skills.
