Petaluma, Monday, March 10, 2014: Sequoia Senior Solutions, Inc. of Petaluma announced today a new service aimed at reducing the risk of prolonged agony and serious harm to Seniors who may fall ill or suffer from an accident at home, and who may otherwise have to wait for hours or even days before help arrives.
The new service, called Wellness Calls, provides regularly scheduled telephone calls from a Sequoia Senior Solutions Remote Caregiver during which the Caregiver can assess the safety and well-being of the Senior and alert the appropriate authorities, or the Senior’s family, should the Senior be in distress or should the Wellness Call go unanswered.
Wellness Calls can also be used as a “reminder service”, prompting those suffering from mild memory loss to take their medications at the prescribed times, to remind them of their Doctor’s appointments, of their Grandchildren’s birthdays, or even to eat their meals or take their showers. But most importantly, Wellness Calls may help people avoid long periods of suffering alone when no one has been alerted about their distress.
