Serenity Palms Sets Eyes on Expanding to Santa Monica
CATHEDRAL CITY, California (PRWEB) June 15, 2015 -- Looking toward expanding its California market, Serenity Palms Drug Addiction Treatment Center, located in Cathedral City, has initiated a study of the Santa Monica area for its potential as a new iRecover location. If selected as the next iRecover venue, Santa Monica would join Serenity Palms and two Canadian centers in offering iRecover, a technologically advanced method of enhancing drug and alcohol addiction treatment. All iRecover centers provide clients with an iPad upon admission into the program, thus connecting them with educational materials, community resources and access to counselors and therapists around the clock. Jim Gray, founder of the iRecover program and its flagship center in Alberta, Canada, is confident that the popular iPad format contributes greatly to the rapid growth of iRecover. He is eager to expand the programs horizons.
“This is a ripe time to branch out and establish a facility in a rich demographic that is easily accessible to treat those with drug or alcohol addiction. Our program is innovative and successful and I'm confident Santa Monica residents, who are already highly tech savvy, will respond well to a treatment option that integrates Apple technology,” Gray said. He adds, "I have a sincere interest in the Santa Monica area as a location for the next center to offer the iRecover program. Santa Monica has a wide range of demographics – everyone from surfers to movie stars, professional executives to students, working middle class to retired – and it has an ideal climate. It also has diversity in terms of businesses and establishments, such as historic museums, luxury boutiques, office buildings and shopping malls. If we locate there, we would be in the midst of a cultural melting pot. I’m excited about the possibilities of how an iRecover treatment center would fit in and would serve a diverse population.”
Santa Monica claims several noteworthy features. The Santa Monica carousel is a National Historic Landmark on the Santa Monica Pier, built in 1909. For several years, the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium hosted the Academy Awards, not surprising for a city that has at least a dozen movie venues on the promenade alone. Santa Monica still hosts an annual film festival. Numerous art museums dot the city, which also has shopping districts that range from high-end department stores to outdoor promenades. As the second location in California, Santa Monica would offer a coastal counterpart to the desert resort setting of Serenity Palms. Surrounded by mountains and located near Palm Springs, Serenity Palms provides a sense of serenity and calm. Treatment includes guided hikes and therapeutic outings in natural areas unique to the desert.
