Serenity Point Rehabilitation Releases Interview Compilation Video Featuring Four Recent Graduates
Grand Rapids, Michigan (PRWEB) December 11, 2015 -- Serenity Point Rehabilitation, a holistic treatment facility for substance abuse located in central Michigan, has released a compilation video featuring interviews with four recent graduates of their recovery center. In their interviews, each patient shares a little bit about their past and the journey that brought them to Serenity, as well as the changes that they have made and what they found to be most beneficial from their stay at the treatment center.

The Treatment Program at Serenity Point
The treatment program at Serenity is designed to be effective for people from all walks of life and from any background. It offers several different options in treatment method for the patients to choose from, allowing them to discover the most effective path to recovery from addiction for their individual needs.Jacob and Louis both came to Serenity after they each had gone through two unsuccessful attempts at rehabilitation. Even though their stories are similar, they found that different aspects of the program were more beneficial in each case.
Louis reconnected spiritually with his Christian faith, saying, “One of the things that I’ve been searching for most of my life was a knowledge of a higher power,” he shares. “Even going to Catholic school for ten years, it’s not something that really stuck. Through my courses here and just letting it come to me, I found it.” Jacob, however, chose the Indigenous track, a spiritual pathway based in traditional Native American beliefs. “I really found some inner peace,” he says. “I learned how to appreciate the little things and realize how beautiful life was.”
Spencer and Carlee were both struggling with Heroin addiction when they found Serenity Point. Spencer began using recreationally on the weekends as a social activity, but things began to spiral out of control soon after. His addiction began as a way to connect with others.
“Throughout my stay here, all the friends that I have made have become more like a family,” Spencer says. “It’s been really nice having them around. They really help you out through your program.” Carlee, on the other hand, was not using drugs to find something, but to hide from something. Through the Serenity program, she has found a new outlook on life and how to manage it. “I’m going to be able to go out and face things that I once ran from,” she says. “I’m comfortable in my own skin now. I don’t feel like I need drugs to be happy.”
