Serial Killer and Psychiatrist Clash in New Crime Thriller by Author Patricia Neary
Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) January 30, 2014 -- Author Patricia Neary shares the story of a serial killer and the psychiatrist that pursues him in her new thriller, "Judas Playing Field."
When psychiatrist Ellen Smith is kidnapped by an escaped serial killer she had interviewed several years before, the race for her rescue begins. As detectives Dan and Jim pursue serial killer Roger, they begin to uncover a connection between his murder victims and the institution from which he escaped. As Ellen is held hostage, the case unravels as she looks into the eyes of the person that assisted Roger in his escape from the mental institution. In this sequel to 2012’s “Breach of Sanity”, Neary offers a raw look at the inner workings of the mind of a serial killer and the lives shattered by his actions.
Neary, who is a recovered alcoholic and battling neurologic impairment, says nothing can stop her from writing. Creating stories has helped her navigate some of the most difficult times in her life.
"Every writer starts somewhere and my career began with poetry," says Neary, who published her first thriller, "Breach of Sanity” last year. “There is always another story rolling around inside my mind."
Although “Judas Playing Field” is fictional, it is Neary’s hope that the story inspires women to make themselves aware of their surroundings, no matter the circumstances.
"Roger is a charming, attractive man with an affinity for violence due to a sadistic upbringing," says Neary. "The book will definitely make women think twice before going home with a handsome stranger."
