Serious Buyer Announces His Search For Vintage 1969-1972 Psychedelic Era Led Zeppelin Concert Posters
San Francisco, California (PRWEB) June 30, 2014 -- Serious buyer, Andrew Hawley from Vintage Rock Posters, announces his search for vintage 1969-1972 psychedelic era Led Zeppelin concert posters. Zeppelin concert posters like the band’s music were bold and striking. According to Hawley, “Led Zeppelin’s first concert in the U.S. was in Denver on December 26, 1968 at the Denver Auditorium. They were the back up band to Vanilla Fudge and were unbilled. Barry Fey was the promoter. No poster was produced for this concert. After the release of the first album in America in 1969, Zeppelin’s popular exploded and they toured extensively in the U.S. Concert posters were printed for most of these shows. An over-sized poster was printed for their April 7, 1970 concert in Charlotte, North Carolina. A similar post was probably printed for the their Raleigh concert a few day later. The Raleigh poster has never been found.”
Hawley adds, “Zeppelin played the Northwest frequently in the early 1970s. Some great psychedelic and fillmore style posters were created to advertise their Seattle, Portland and Vancouver shows. Their first concert was at Seattle's Green Lake Aqua Theater. The Aqua Theater was an unusual venue since it was a water theme park. Handbills were printed to advertise the show but no concert poster has surfaced to date.” To see examples of Led Zeppelin concert posters, go to [http://www.vintageconcertposterbuyer.com/fillmore_era/led_zeppelin.html
