Serious Rock Concert Poster Collector, Andrew Hawley from Vintage Rock Posters, Announces Search for The Cream 1968 Pacific Coliseum Vancouver Boxing Style Concert Poster
San Francisco, California (PRWEB) November 19, 2013 -- Serious rock concert poster collector, Andrew Hawley from Vintage Rock Posters, announces search for Cream 1968 Pacific Coliseum Vancouver boxing style concert poster. The Pacific Coliseum hosted some of the top 1960s rock acts including the Grateful Dead, the Who, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, and the Doors, and Bob Dylan. The Cream concert was held on June 2, 1968. According to Hawley, “Concert advertising posters were made for these concerts and were mostly printed locally. The Washington Poster Company of Seattle designed this Pacific Coliseum poster. It is 14 x 22 inches and printed on thick cardboard. The Cream Pacific Coliseum artwork is a great example of a boxing style poster. Its design is straight forward compared to the psychedelic like posters coming out of San Francisco at that time. The poster features an image of the band and all the relevant concert information. The Cream played Vancouver once. Eric Clapton would return the following year with his Blind Faith band. A boxing style poster was also made for that show.”
Hawley will pay $3,000 cash for an original copy of The Cream Pacific Coliseum concert or any other vintage 1968 Eric Clapton/Cream concert posters. Please call 310-346-1965 or go to http://www.vintageconcertposterbuyer.com/gallery_boxing_style.html for more information.
