Sevatec Appraised at CMMI Maturity Level 3 for Development and Services

(Sevatec) announced today that the firm was recently appraised at Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Maturity Level 3 for Services (CMMI-SVC) version 1.3 and was successfully reappraised at CMMI Maturity Level 3 for Development (CMMI-DEV) version 1.3 for its ability to provide quality software and systems development and service delivery support.
Sevatec was previously appraised at CMMI-DEV Maturity Level 3 in 2008 and successfully reappraised in 2011, demonstrating a continued commitment to quality and process improvements for software and systems development initiatives. Being appraised at CMMI-SVC Maturity Level 3 further demonstrates Sevatec’s ability to establish, deliver and manage superior IT services. An appraisal at Maturity Level 3 indicates the organization uses “defined” processes that are managed proactively and established consistently across the firm.

Sevatec achieved the ratings on February 14, 2014, through a successful Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) Class A appraisal. The appraisal was conducted over a period of five working days and evaluated the company’s process maturity in 28 process areas in project management, engineering, support, and organizational and process management. Sevatec also holds an ISO 9001:2008 certification.
