SevenTwenty Strategies and American Association of Nurse Practitioners Win Two MarCom Awards
Washington, DC (PRWEB) November 17, 2014 -- SevenTwenty Strategies and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) today announced that they have been awarded two prestigious 2014 MarCom Awards—a Platinum Award for Strategic Communications, which is one of the top honors awarded in this category, and a Gold Award for Integrated Campaign. The MarCom Awards is an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communications professionals.
“We are thrilled and excited to receive and share this honor with AANP and are proud to partner with them to strengthen awareness of nurse practitioners,” said Pam Fielding, President and Founder of SevenTwenty Strategies. “In addition, we are proud of the time, dedication and hard work our team put in to develop, implement and execute a program that enabled AANP to achieve its communications goals.”
AANP, the largest national membership organization for NP’s of all specialties, was challenged by today’s changing health care landscape. They sought to brand and raise awareness among Washington, DC policy elite. SevenTwenty created a research driven, targeted, comprehensive awareness campaign to educate Washington, DC’s health care policy community on the important role AANP’s members play in delivering quality care. The integrated, multifaceted branding and awareness campaign reached an extensive but elusive audience with a targeted, efficient message. Each communication channel was designed to effectively communicate the group’s message, that their members are vital to delivering patient-centered, accessible, high-quality health care across America. The breadth and width of the campaign increased both consumer and policy-maker awareness of the Association and an understanding of the critical role that nurse practitioners play in today’s health care system.
“First and foremost, we are honored to be recognized with a MarCom award. We are very pleased with the heightened awareness brought about by the campaign. We look forward to additional outreach during 2015 as we continue to provide lawmakers, patients and the general public with additional information about the many high-quality, patient-centered health care services provided by nurse practitioners,” said Dave Hebert, JD, Chief Executive Officer with AANP.
There were over 6,500 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and 15 other countries in this year’s competition.
The MarCom Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The Association oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets standards for excellence. Entries come from corporate marketing ad communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers. Winners were selected from over 200 categories in seven forms of media and communication efforts including marketing, publications, marketing/promotion, public service/pro bono, creativity and electronic/interactive.
