SFUAD Announces Exclusive Scholarship for Santa Fe Community College Graduates
Santa Fe, NM (PRWEB) July 16, 2015 -- Santa Fe University of Art and Design (SFUAD), in collaboration with Santa Fe Community College (SFCC), is offering an exclusive opportunity this Fall for SFCC graduates to earn their bachelor of arts or bachelor of fine arts degrees at a reduced annual tuition rate of just over $10,000 across all programs at the university. This discount represents a 66 percent tuition reduction for the traditionally higher-tuition programs including contemporary music, film, performing arts, photography and studio arts, and a 45 percent reduction on the lower-tuition programs, including creative writing, digital arts, graphic design and arts management programs. The collaboration between the institutions, in place for Fall 2015 enrollment, has been developed to smooth the transition of SFCC students wishing to complete their four-year degree in the arts and encourage them to continue their education.
“Our partnership with Santa Fe Community College is mutually beneficial,” said Larry Hinz, president of SFUAD. “The matriculation agreement not only provides the foundation for future cross-institutional collaboration, but it is an opportunity for SFCC students to stay on an affordable path to a bachelor’s degree in art and design from a private university without leaving Santa Fe.”
Students can work directly with an SFUAD Academic Advisor to transfer their existing college credits, and create an efficient path toward earning their bachelor of arts or bachelor of fine arts in their degree program of choice.
“This partnership will give SFCC graduates an additional option to further their education and realize their goals,” said Randy Grissom, president, Santa Fe Community College. “It’s important for our graduates to be able to stay in Santa Fe, save money and pursue advanced studies in their discipline. This new collaboration between our schools, like our existing partnerships in the Higher Education Center, helps meet that need.”
