Shaggy’s Has A Christmas Gift For Pass Christian Police!
Pass Christian, Mississippi (PRWEB) December 17, 2016 -- Ron Ladner, founder and Rimmer Covington, co-owners of Shaggy’s Restaurants, have a special Christmas gift for the officers of the Pass Christian Police Department this year. They are gifting each of the 20 officers in the department with a $1,000 in Shaggy’s gift cards.
"We have great employees that make all of this possible, our culture is built on the foundation of community service and helping others," said Ladner, "This is one of many Shaggy's efforts to connect with and support our community...this is really important to us."
When the department called soliciting a single gift card donation in hopes of collecting enough gift cards for all of the officers to receive one from different businesses in Pass Christian, Ladner and Covington decided they could do more for the department.
“Community service is a big part of the Shaggy’s culture not only Pass Christian but at all of our locations across the coast and Pensacola. The men and women of the police department work so hard every day to make sure we are safe, and now more than ever we need to get behind them to show our support.” said Covington.
This is not the first time this year Shaggy’s has shown support for police officers. In July, Shaggy’s offered a free meal to officers in uniform in connection with the Wear Blue campaign to show solidarity and support across the country for police following the attack on the officers in Dallas, Texas. Shaggy’s served over a hundred meals across its four locations to local law enforcement.
In addition to the gift cards, Shaggy’s is showing support to its community this year with a stuffed animal drive. Each of the four locations is collecting new stuffed animals that will be donated to the local police departments. The animals will be given to children in a time of crisis. The need for stuffed animals is one that is year-round. If you do not have the time to run out and get a stuffed animal, Shaggy’s is also accepting monetary donations and will do the shopping for you. With donations of $5 or more, guests will receive 10% off of their food purchase.
Shaggy’s will be accepting donations through December 22 at Shaggy’s Pass Harbor, Shaggy’s Biloxi Beach, Shaggy’s Gulfport Beach, and Shaggy’s Pensacola Beach.
