Shamrock Solutions Introduces New At Rest OSM File Encryption and SPII Identification Script for Perceptive Content

The trouble is that hackers can still exploit security gaps in process and content management systems, allowing them to access Social Security numbers, addresses and other sensitive information. Shamrock is the only provider to offer such at-rest protection of OSM files.
The next solution - which is also exclusive to Shamrock - is a script that automatically parses legacy documents stored in the ECM system, and identifies those with sensitive data and the lines contain this information. The user can then apply the power of Perceptive’s Recognition Agent to redact the sensitive data. This provides peace of mind that no unauthorized parties are viewing, exporting or downloading information.
Such a process would typically take a very long time. In Shamrock’s research and development cycle, its team found that a mid-size college might have around 50 million pages stored in Perceptive Content. Even with 10 OCR agents running simultaneously, it would take up to a year to comb through every page and identify sensitive information requiring redaction. With Shamrock’s offering the same process takes less than two weeks.
