SHANGO™ Opens New Store, Announces Pot is Not for Sale
Portland, Ore. (PRWEB) July 01, 2015 -- Shango opens its new store on the day that marijuana is finally legal and announces it is not for sale in any of its three stores in Oregon. For recreational use, that is.
“July 1st is finally here, we’re excited to announce the opening of our third Shango in less than a year, and that our products are not for sale for recreational use,” said Shane McKee, co-founder of Shango Premium Cannabis. “We are happy because we know how important it is for the recreational sale of marijuana to be properly regulated. McKee and his co-founding partner, Brandon Rexroad, will join life-long Hillsboro resident and businessman Adrian Perte to open the latest Shango in Hillsboro, Ore. today. The Hillsboro Shango, which Perte owns, currently only sells its products to medical marijuana cardholders. The store officially opens at 10 a.m. PT. At that time, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place and doors will open for business immediately following.
Shango Hillsboro is located at 1775 SE TV (Tualatin Valley) Highway Building A, Hillsboro, OR 97123.
In October 2014, Rexroad and McKee successfully launched the first two Shango locations in Portland. Shango’s stylish and state-of-the-art design and superior operations received high acclaim from regulators and local officials alike. Cardholders and industry critics praised the quality of Shango’s premium cannabis products and accessories, as well as its in-store experience. Since then, they have been in discussions to open additional Shango dispensaries in Oregon, including Hillsboro, as well as out of state expansions to Alaska, California, Nevada and Washington.

The Shango Hillsboro opening is the same day Measure 91 takes effect, allowing Oregonians to grow limited amounts of marijuana on their property and to possess personal limited amounts of recreational marijuana for personal use under Oregon law.
