ShareBloc Announces the Top 50 Content Marketing Posts of 2013
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) December 23, 2013 -- ShareBloc, a platform for like-minded professionals to share content, announces the winners of their contest to find the Top 50 Content Marketing Posts of 2013. The company launched the contest on December 3, 2013 and concluded on December 17, 2013. In that two-week span, more than 640 voters cast their ballots 7,678 times to narrow a competitive field of 175 nominations to the top 50.
Eleven influential members of the sales & marketing community joined early on to promote and nominate their favorite content. One of these members, Dave Brock, President at Partners In EXCELLENCE, nominated three of the top 50 posts. “It’s rare to have a contest where everyone is a winner: the people who contributed the most popular articles, the readers who were treated to dozens of high quality articles in one of the hottest areas—content marketing, and the community who learns from the great content, comments and interactions between each other. What could be more impactful? Congratulations to everyone who participated in ShareBloc’s content marketing contest! It’s a big win for all of us.”
The winners varied from individual bloggers, influential industry leaders and top corporations in sales & marketing including Salesforce and Hubspot. The overall winner of the contest is appropriately “Content Is King, But Distribution Is Queen and She Wears the Pants” by top marketer Chad Pollitt. Chad’s article won with a resounding 677 votes, 96 votes greater than the second-place winner and almost 9% of total votes. “One of the key takeaways in my article is that good content is not enough and marketers need to focus on distribution to rise above the noise. Sites like ShareBloc help me and others deliver content to the right audience and provides readers a quick cheat-sheet on the best business content on the web.”
Other notable winners in the top 10 include Marketo’s Jon Miller at #2 with his post entitled “Marketing Automation 101”, Doug Kessler of Velocity Partners at #3 with “Crap. The Content Marketing Deluge.” and B2B Content Marketing 2014 Benchmarks, Budgets & Trends - North America by Content Marketing Institute and MarketingProfs at #9.
