Erlich, who is Iñupiaq and a member of the Native Village of Kotzebue, Alaska, has many years of leadership in empowering tribes. He served as a councilman at the Native Village of Kotzebue and was chairman on the Statewide Alaska Inter-Tribal Council for six years. He also served as President/CEO of Maniilaq Association for five years. The Maniilaq Association is a tribal non-profit serving the healthcare needs of residents in the Maniilaq Service Area; an area larger than 17 States.
Erlich says because of his past experiences, he recognizes the chronic underfunding facing tribal health care. He says Shared Mission understands the need to provide innovative tools to improve healthcare processes and services that work within the means of tribal communities.

He says the Shared Mission team has decades of experience managing and redesigning top tier emergency departments, inpatient units and outpatient clinics by focusing on LEAN techniques.
