Shareindipity is Launching Support of NEWS at Wine Women & Shoes Event at Charles Krug Winery on July 27, 2013
Walnut Creek, CA (PRWEB) July 25, 2013 -- Napa Emergency Women’s Services (NEWS), a pillar of Napa County, provides safe shelter, counseling and support for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. In support of NEWS and the victims they serve, Shareindipity has developed a line of bracelets to raise awareness of the organization and its cause, and will donate 50% of sales at the July 27, 2013 Wine Women & Shoes event at Charles Krug Winery. Following the event, Shareindipity will continue to donate a percentage of proceeds from the sale of NEWS bracelets.
“As a company based in Northern California, we are proud to be supporting such an important organization to the community,” said Sheri Golden, Founder and Director at Shareindipity. “The second annual event brings much needed revenues to NEWS and we are delighted to be doing our part and to continue our support on an ongoing basis following the fund raiser,” she continued.
Shareindipity has designed a custom 3-strand amethyst bracelet with a purple and teal ribbon symbolizing support for domestic violence and sexual assault victims. Event attendees can purchase this bracelet for $160 with the knowledge that $80 will be donated to NEWS. Starting July 28, 2013, this bracelet and others will be available for purchase at http://www.shareindipity.com.
“We are excited about our partnership with Shareindipity and the symbol of solidarity the bracelets provide between the women that wear them and the women and children we support through our organization”, stated Tracy Lamb, Executive Director of NEWS.

About NEWS
Napa Emergency Women's Services was formed in 1981 when a group of community members realized there was no safe place for women and children to go when they were fleeing abuse at home. Volunteers had been taking battered women and their children into their own homes to protect them, and the need for a safe shelter was clear. Our founders worked in partnership with local leaders to acquire a house where women and children could find safety and support, and begin the process of rebuilding their lives.
Today NEWS has grown into a strong organization with a dedicated group of staff and volunteer domestic violence and sexual assault counselors, providing direct client services as well as shelter 24 hours a day/7 days a week, to approximately 1200 women and children each year. We work on prevention through education and outreach programs.
Support for NEWS comes from many sources. The largest portion of our funding comes from grants from federal, state, and local sources such as the Auction Napa Valley. Our community fundraising events make up part of our budget, and we depend on the generosity of individuals and community groups who support us in our mission.
