Sherwood Ford Sponsors Beaumont Outlaws Lacrosse Team For The 2018 Season
SHERWOOD PARK, Alberta, Feb. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The Beaumont Outlaws lacrosse team is gearing up to start their 2018 season and has been looking for local businesses to sponsor the team. Like most amateur sports teams, the Outlaws are funded by the coaches, players and people throughout the community who wish to support the team. Many of the athletes on the team are fresh out of high school or university and may not have the necessary funds to get the team through the season.
The Outlaws are a Sr. B team located in nearby Beaumont made up of some of the best local players aged 21-25. The team plays over 20 games a season throughout Alberta against other teams in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League. In order to help the team make it through the season, Sherwood Ford, along with many other local businesses, has decided to post a one-thousand dollar sponsorship of the team. This money will be used for travel accommodations, practice time, equipment and much more. By sponsoring the team, the dealership hopes to inspire other businesses in the Edmonton area to do the same to take pressure off of the players and coaching staff. .
