Shmoop Introduces ShmoopYou, a Peer-to-Peer Platform for Everything Academic
Mountain View, California (PRWEB) September 08, 2016 -- Summer is officially over, which means it's back to the grind. To soften the blow, Shmoop (http://www.shmoop.com), a digital publisher known for its award-winning test prep and certified online courses, has introduced ShmoopYou, every student's new academic network.
Need help getting through a homework assignment? On ShmoopAnswers, users can ask questions and get answers from their peers. Whether they're struggling with symbolism in English class or looking for tips on how to write a killer lab report, fellow Shmoopers will have plenty of tips and tricks to share.
With over a dozen chatrooms on all sorts of subjects—from math to foreign language to Pokémon GO—students are able to talk the talk with Shmoopers from all over the world. In each chatroom, there's a list of experts for that subject, so users can even send 'em a private message to see if they can lend an extra hand.
And by promoting skills and getting other Shmoopers to endorse them, students can become an expert in anything from AP Computer Science to Zumba. Whodathunk that Charles Dickens would be skilled in selfies and handshakes? Plus, users will get status updates from everyone they know...and even people they don't know. That's right, Abe Lincoln (username: VampireHunter) and Holden Caulfield (username: PhonyHater) will spill the beans on the inner workings of their brains.
"ShmoopYou has really given me a chance to connect with students learning about history," says Abraham Lincoln, 16th president of the United States. "People kept telling me my beard was 'on fleek,' and until ShmoopYou, I had no way of figuring out what that meant."
Students and teachers alike can get started on the ShmoopYou home page. From there, sign up for a Shmoop account and get to it.
