Shofner Vision Center Supports The Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee's 3rd Annual Great Futures Gala Event
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) March 24, 2014 -- Shofner Vision Center supports a variety of non-for-profits important to both Dr. Stewart Shofner and Dr. Kevin Johnson. Dr. Shofner is especially excited to participate as one of the silent auction donors for this year’s 3rd Annual Great Futures Gala Event benefiting The Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee. “Last year's event with Martin Sheen raised a significant amount of money for The Boys and Girls Clubs. We are pleased to also support this year, as the money raised is critical for providing a haven for young people who are "at risk". The Boys and Girls Clubs make a significant and demonstrable difference in the lives of young people. We hope to again meet some of these impressive young men and women at this event," says Dr. Shofner.
The Gala Event
Scheduled for Thursday, March 27th at the Omni Nashville Hotel, this event is the premier spring fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee and features multiple Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominated actor, Rob Lowe. A cocktail reception kick starts the event followed by a silent auction, dinner, an opportunity to meet celebrity Rob Lowe and much more.
Event proceeds directly support educational programs to over 2,200 kids, ages 5 to 18, at five Club locations and through outreach programs in Middle Tennessee. Gala tickets are available through March 26, 2014 and may be purchased online. All proceeds raised at the event remain local.

This year’s event, featuring Rob Lowe, has seen an increase in attendance by 71% and is projected to raise $75,000 more than in 2013,” says John D.
