HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. Dr. Richter’s new office is conveniently located at 700 New York Avenue, Lower Level in Huntington, New York. Dr. Martin indicated that Dr. Richter and his SightMD staff will begin seeing patients in their new Huntington office on January 2. Until that time, patients will continue to be seen at their current location at 148 E. Main Street, Suite 101 in Huntington.

Dr. Richter’s new practice in Huntington will offer patients access to the latest breakthroughs in comprehensive eye care, with a special focus on cataract removal, lens implantation, and glaucoma management. “As a long-time resident of Huntington, I’m excited about the opening of our new office in my hometown and proud of the medical support and scope of services being offered by my partners at SightMD,” Dr. Richter said.
Dr. Richter is an experienced, board certified ophthalmologist with nearly 20 years of medical and surgical experience in the practice of ophthalmology. In addition to his expertise in cataract removal and lens implantation, Dr. Richter also enjoys practicing general ophthalmology with an emphasis on the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma, the management of macular degeneration, and the management of diabetic eye disease. His new practice in Huntington will employ leading edge diagnostic and treatment modalities including selective laser trabeculoplasty, ocular coherence tomography, optical and ultrasound biometry, corneal topography, tear film osmolarity, and automated perimetry.
Dr. Richter is an attending physician at Huntington and Syosset Hospitals. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, and is a member of the Medical Society of the State of New York.
Dr. Richter and his wife have two children and are long term residents of Huntington. In his spare time he enjoys skiing, cycling, and spending time with his family and friends. He looks forward to welcoming patients to his new practice and continuing his relationship with his established patients.
