Siebel Institute Announces New Master Craft Brewer Theory Program
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 17, 2015 -- The advanced-level Master Craft Brewer Theory (MCBT) program has been specifically designed to give students the knowledge they need to understand the nature of contemporary craft brewing practice. Conducted via web-based instruction, the MCBT program features content designed by the Siebel Institute instructional team that addresses techniques and technologies covering creation of the full spectrum of beer styles in a wide variety of brewery environments. While content deals with brewing from a perspective of small-brewery operations, students are given an understanding of the techniques and technologies employed towards maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency in brewing with a mind towards brewery growth and profitability.
The MCBT program is suitable for those with intermediate-level technical brewing knowledge who are looking to establish a firm understanding of craft brewing in a commercial environment. The program is formed of 6 online training modules:
1. Malting and Raw Materials
2. Brewhouse
3. Yeast and Fermentation
4. Quality Assurance and Quality Control
5. Packaging
6. Engineering
Each of the web-based Master Craft Brewer Theory program modules run 6 weeks in duration. The total time needed to complete the program is approximately 10 months if taken in order with no breaks. During the MCBT program, student progress is monitored by Siebel Institute instructional staff who work to maximize student understanding of course materials.
