Siena College and C-SPAN Will Announce The Ranking of the First Ladies
Loudonville, NY (PRWEB) February 11, 2014 -- Siena College Research Institute and C-SPAN will release the fifth Expert Study of the First Ladies of the United States on Saturday, February 15th at 9:00 a.m. Based on input from over 240 historians, scholars and political scientists, the study ranks 39 First Ladies overall and on ten attributes including value to the country, accomplishments, being her own woman and courage.

For the first time in the 32 year history of the study, recent First Ladies are assessed on additional issues including managing family life while in office, advancing women’s issues and as a potential President. Additionally, for the first time, combining the data from this study with Siena’s Presidential Rankings, this study identifies ‘Power Couples’ and the First Ladies that were the greatest asset and liability to their President.
Siena College has partnered on its First Ladies survey with the C-SPAN cable network as a complement to the network’s year-long historical series First Ladies: Influence and Image. C-SPAN will feature the survey results during a live telecast of its Washington Journal morning program on February 17th and during the final program of the First Ladies series later that night.
