SIG Announces Line-up of Networking and Learning Events for Sourcing, Outsourcing and Procurement Executives
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 31, 2013 -- SIG, the premier membership organization for sourcing, procurement and outsourcing executives, announces a line-up of upcoming events that offer something for all executives in sourcing, outsourcing and procurement.
SIG offers three types of live networking and learning events. Regional Roundtables are short one-day events that take place from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm in cities around North America. These buy-side events are hosted at a member’s location and provide education and local networking for professionals from Fortune 1000 companies. A combination of practitioner presentations, facilitated roundtables and panel discussions, the Regional Roundtables enable delegates to converse in a collegial, non-commercial environment. SIG will host one more Roundtable in 2013 in Columbus, Ohio on December 4th. Registration is open for that event. The next Roundtable will be held in Hartford, Connecticut on March 12, 2014.
Symposiums are one-day events filled with executive networking, industry benchmarking and lessons learned from the buy-side companies in attendance. Through executive buy-side presentations, concurrent breakout sessions, learning centers, networking breaks and live buy-side Peer2Peer discussions, delegates leave with valuable insights, tangible solutions, and a network of new resources. The next SIG Symposium will be held in New York City on November 13, 2013 and boasts an incredible line-up of companies, including BNY Mellon, eBay, Shire Pharmaceuticals, Bloomberg, McGraw-Hill, AECOM and more. Registration is open. The first Symposium of 2014 will be held in Montreal, Canada on April 23, 2014.
Global Summits are three-day events for all SIG members to come together in a collegial setting for sharing, learning and networking. Through executive roundtables, general sessions, workshops, breakout sessions and networking events, delegates hear from industry thought leaders and network with like-minded professionals facing similar challenges. Past keynote speakers have included Steve Forbes, Steve Wozniak, Newt Gingrich and senior executives from a variety of industry-leading companies like Microsoft. The next Summit is planned for April 1-3, 2014 in Nashville, Tennessee and registration is open.
“Our Global Summits bring all our members together and tend to be when we hear groundbreaking new research and ‘next’ practices,” said Dawn Evans, SIG CEO and President. “But I love attending our regional events where you can see real connections being made in a local community.” Adds Stephani McGarry, Senior Director, SIG Global Events, “I agree. The Symposiums and Roundtables allow our members to engage in live benchmarking and best practice sharing. We consistently hear from our delegates that they are able to leave our events feeling energized and able to immediately implement new ideas they learned at SIG.”
