SIG Global Executive Summit to Kick Off Next Week
Jacksonville, Fla. (PRWEB) March 05, 2015 -- SIG, the premier membership organization for sourcing, procurement and outsourcing executives, will kick off its semi-annual Summit next Tuesday, March 10 with 350 executives from some of the most globally-recognized brands in the world.
SIG Summits bring Fortune 500 and Global 1000 companies together to access the latest innovations, network and discuss issues and best practices in sourcing, procurement, outsourcing, offshoring and nearshoring. During the three-day agenda, senior buy-side executives from a variety of industries—including financial services, retail, consumer packaged goods, healthcare, manufacturing and many others—will share successes and failures, engage in open dialogues and address challenges. Summits are held twice a year, traditionally with the spring event on the east coast and the fall event on the west coast.
This well-regarded event officially launches with a pre-Summit reception Monday, March 9, 2015 and a community service event, with Summit attendees working with Meals of Hope to pack meals for families in need. The event also includes four keynote sessions, 47 breakout sessions and workshops and multiple networking opportunities, including SIG’s famous Speed Networking event. Keynote session topics range from next practices in leadership and sourcing; adding meaning to your mission; insights into how procurement drives value; and a climate check on the economy, politics and business.
“The Summit is SIG’s marquis event,” says Dawn Tiura, SIG President and CEO. “Having companies like Microsoft, Office Depot, Boeing and Coca Cola share their transformations and stories provides a powerful environment for everyone in attendance. I love watching our members have ‘aha’ moments when they hear how another company has solved an issue they are facing.” Adds SIG COO Jeff Felix, “This Summit has some of the most fresh and relevant content in the industry. I’m excited for our members to arrive and gain insights from these world-class companies.”
