Jacksonville, FL (PRWEB) August 22, 2014 -- SIG, the premier membership organization for sourcing, procurement and outsourcing executives, today announces that for the second year in a row, it has been named to Inc. magazine’s Inc. 500/5000 list, an annual list of the fastest-growing privately-held companies in the U.S.
This annual list was started by Inc. magazine in 1982 to recognize the top 500 companies and was expanded to include the top 5,000 in 2007. SIG is recognized at #4671 and joins alumni like Microsoft, Patagonia, OtterBox, Clarisonic and Alex and Ani, who are now globally recognized brands.
“We are once again humbled and honored to be included in this list of innovative companies,” said SIG CEO and President Dawn Evans. “We were also excited to see sixteen other Jacksonville-based companies on the list, as well as 303 in total from Florida. We moved SIG headquarters here three years ago, and have seen an explosion of growth in innovation and entrepreneurialism,” said Inc. Editor in Chief Schurenberg, “Now, more than ever, we depend on Inc. 500/5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs, and drive the economy forward. Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is.”
