Silver Creek Industries Partners with Walden Structures
Perris, California (PRWEB) September 04, 2014 -- For the past 30 years, Walden Structures provided infrastructure, site improvements, and installation of modular buildings for public agencies, energy companies, military installations, correctional facilities, and high tech companies. In 2012, after St. John’s Mercy Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri was destroyed by a tornado, Walden successfully rebuilt the 100,000 sf Mercy Hospital.
Solely focusing on large permanent modular building projects for the commercial and medical markets for the past 2-3 years, Walden recognized the timely development of these projects did not come to fruition quickly enough to continue to uphold its factory. Consequently an alliance with Silver Creek Industries became a viable option.
“Our decision to pursue custom permanent modular construction projects has proven to be an ideal building solution for developers and general contractors seeking ways to improve efficiencies and reduce their construction timelines,” said Charlie Walden, Director of Permanent Modular Construction at Silver Creek Industries. “Teaming with Silver Creek will allow me to concentrate on the development of these projects that the SCI team can then build in their factory.”
“As a leader in the modular building industry, Walden Structures has helped pave the way for factory builders such as SCI,” said Brett Bashaw, CEO of Silver Creek Industries. “We are fortunate to have Charlie’s permanent modular team join us and look forward to a successful relationship and exciting new projects.”
Silver Creek Industries has been constructing modular buildings for nearly a decade. While a large segment of its projects have been for the education market, SCI has built a great number of commercial, medical, military, and government buildings, and is now building a 105,317 sf affordable senior housing project consisting of 13 apartment buildings and community center in Redlands, California.
“We have experienced continued growth over the years by thinking outside the modular building box, if you will, and providing innovative building solutions for various markets,” said Michael Rhodes, President of Silver Creek Industries. “The addition of key Walden Structures team members, and Charlie’s experience and expertise with large permanent modular building projects will support future growth and new opportunities.”
