Simplifile Announces E-recording in Lake County
LAKE COUNTY, Fla. (PRWEB) July 30, 2015 -- Lake County, Fla., has implemented electronic recording (e-recording) of documents through Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service, giving customers a secure, online recording option.
“We are continuing to offer access to our office by using the latest technology,” said Lake County Clerk of Court Neil Kelly. “E-recording allows customers to submit documents without the need to travel to our office, saving time and expense.”
Using Simplifile’s secure, web-based service, customers ranging from title companies to banks, attorneys, and lien filers, have the ability to scan or upload and submit documents directly to the recording office and have them recorded, stamped, and returned electronically.
Customers also have the ability to track and view the status of their documents that have been submitted to the clerk, making it easier and more cost effective to correct and resubmit any rejected documents.
Fewer payment errors, stamps, mailing expenses, and less overall paper waste are also some of the benefits that come with e-recording.
With the addition of Lake County, there are now 45 counties in the state of Florida that have adopted e-recording with Simplifile.
Nationwide, more than 1,260 counties also e-record with Simplifile.
“We are happy for Lake County to be able to offer this convenient, cost-effective service to their customers,” said Paul Clifford,
president of Simplifile. “It’s been wonderful to work with their office and help them implement this easy-to-use technology that improves and expedites document recording processes.”
High-speed Internet access, a PC, and a scanner are the minimum requirements for customers to begin e-recording with Simplifile.
