Simpson Door Company Adds WaterBarrier Technology Option to Its Flush Doors
McCleary, Washington (PRWEB) December 01, 2016 -- Simpson Door Company has expanded its capabilities with high-performing contemporary door design. The company’s WaterBarrier® technology is now available for flush door designs, including ones with windows, standard raised moldings and flush shaker moldings. Regardless of the wood species chosen, size, or shape of the door, WaterBarrier technology can be added, and provide a five-year warranty with no protective overhang required.
“With the ever increasing popularity of contemporary design and the prominent role of painted entry doors, we wanted to provide customers with an increased protection for their flush doors that will hold up in the toughest exposures,” said Brad Loveless, Simpson marketing and product development manager. “We are pleased to be able to combine our flush door construction that ensures long-lasting durability with the moisture-resistance WaterBarrier technology provides.”
Simpson WaterBarrier technology combines a moisture-resistant, medium-density overlay (MDO) with a thermoset acrylic latex primer topcoat on the door’s exterior side. This creates a smooth and durable exterior that resists moisture absorption and is ready to paint, while retaining the look of wood inside the home. Doors with WaterBarrier technology can be any wood species, design or shape, which is something molded or extruded materials cannot match.
