Sinclair Law Supports “Designate A Texter” Program
Melbourne, Fla. (PRWEB) October 29, 2013 -- Sinclair Law is excited to announce that the Orlando Orange County Expressway Authority, along with several other sponsors, has put together a program titled “Designate A Texter” to help stop texting and driving.
“Designate A Texter” is designed to encourage people to stop texting while driving, and instead find and designate a “texter” – someone to read and respond to texts for them. According to the “Designate A Texter” webpage, there are over 100,000 texting-related crashes per year. The sponsors of the new program hope that people will pledge to stop texting and driving and reduce the number of texting-related accidents.
“It’s a simple idea, but it’s so important,” says Brad Sinclair of Sinclair Law. “We see many automobile accident victims related to texting and driving. It’s really sad, and easily preventable.” Sinclair is encouraging people to visit the “Designate A Texter” page, make a pledge, and stick to it. “And if you don’t have someone in the car with you while you’re driving? You don’t have a designated texter, and therefore, no texting. Period. Just consider it not an option at all,” says Sinclair.
