Singapore-Headquartered Workforce BI Provider Releases All-in-One Comprehensive eGuide on HR Compliance
Silicon Singapore (PRWEB) June 30, 2015 -- Leading workforce technology provider HRBoss today announced the release of the “Singapore HR Compliance Guide 2015,” a comprehensive manual to aid employers and businesses to stay compliant to the new HR regulations set by the Singapore government.
With the announcement of the Fair Consideration Framework (FCF) in September 2013, employers in Singapore now need to pay extra care in adhering to proper procedures and guidelines when hiring. The FCF was introduced by the Singapore Ministry of Manpower (MOM) to encourage companies to consider Singaporeans fairly for all job opportunities before hiring Employment Pass (EP) holders.
To support the FCF, a national Jobs Bank was also launched in July last year. Employers in Singapore who wish to apply for an EP now need to first advertise job vacancies on the Jobs Bank for a minimum period of 14 days, submit EP applications no later than 3 months past the closing date of the job advertisements, and adhere to the Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices.
Eloise Sutton-Kirkby, Marketing Director of HRBoss commented, “In light of the new regulations rolled out last year, changes to the FCF circulated widely all over the press and media. We understand that HR is one of the busiest functions in an organization, having to take on different roles for its employees, management and stakeholders, and not to mention managing HR operational liabilities. To cope with the information overload, we wanted to help cut through the complexity by publishing a comprehensive guide so that HR professionals and employers alike can have all the relevant information they need to know, all-in-one easy-to-read eBook. Now back by popular demand, we’re pleased to share that a revised edition is available for download at no cost.”
Sutton-Kirkby continued, “Compliance can be tricky but HR cannot afford to put the business at risk. The Singapore government has already called out 100 over organizations for discriminatory practices and suspended any new EP applications. The HR Compliance Guide will advise employers through the steps from advertising for a job, to how to practice fair recruitment and the best the right tools and technology to ensure that you stay compliant on every front.”
The guide will cover:
• New developments in 2015
• Details about the Jobs Bank and the FCF
• What the FCF means to employers
• Fair Recruiting Practices 101
• Recommended recruiting tools and technology
• Compliance checklist 2015
• & additional FCF resources
The Singapore HR Compliance Guide 2015 is available to the public as complimentary download here.
