Singer-Songwriter N0vel Releases Her First Single, H8LUV
Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) July 09, 2014 -- N0vel released her first single, H8LUV July 8, 2014.
N0vel is a Canadian native who grew up in Paradise Hill, Saskatchewan in a small village of 515 people. At age 3, N0vel began dance classes and by the age of 5, she was competitively dancing in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and hip-hop. Over the years N0vel has performed in several dance and musical theater productions. N0vel has graduated with the Royal Conservatory of Ballet in 2009 and danced on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
It didn’t take long for N0vel to turn her focus to music. She began writing and performing original songs all over Canada. At age 12, N0vel made her first live television performance, which led her to being a guest performer for top Canadian country artists. She also had the privilege to sing the Canadian and American National Anthems for NHL hockey teams with crowds of 18,000 people. “I get more nervous if I notice there isn’t a crowd,” N0vel explains as she laughs. “The bigger the crowd the better I perform.”
With dual citizenship to the United States, N0vel moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams. She wrote and recorded a 5-song demo which got into the hands of Poet Name Life, who has 2 Grammys for his work with the Black Eyed Peas. Poet and N0vel instantly clicked and started writing and producing new material together. "Poet is a very passionate person and has a great heart. He is always willing to help people with reaching for their dreams. He is extremely hard working and is always thinking beyond what is currently happening, whether it is music, technology or any other interests he has. I'm very grateful to him," said N0vel. N0vel also has a song on DJ Poet's new EP called "Free Fallin" that will be released soon.
N0vel's song comes from her heart. “I was inspired to write this song from feelings I had for someone I cared very deeply about,” N0vel recalls. “I was very passionate towards him but slowly he started to pull away, and that’s when I hated the feeling of love. I hated the feelings of him not caring anymore. I felt like everything was falling to pieces and I didn't know what to do. I wrote H8Luv based off our love, our passion, our hate, and our drift apart.”
In June of 2014, N0vel was introduced to DJ Skribble and Lodato who have made two remixes of H8LUV. Skribble is now touring with N0vel. "Skribble is very talented and it shows in his work. He's done an amazing job and I couldn't be happier with these remixes,” N0vel said.
N0vel and DJ Skribble will perform together next at Shepard’s Beach Resort in Florida this Sunday, July 13, 2014. When asked about working with N0vel, Skribble said, “It is refreshing to see a young artist so eager to learn and so naturally talented. I think everyone will enjoy the remixes. You will dance!”
N0vel has a new web series on YouTube which has 6 short episodes so far that document her journey as an aspiring artist.
H8LUV will also be featured on Listen Deep starting September, the official EDM Channel of Virgin airlines of which DJ Poet is the CEO and Founder of Listen Deep.
