SkinViva Introduces Advanced Facial Profiling Technology
Manchester (PRWEB UK) 17 September 2015 -- SkinViva has introduced innovative facial profiling technology at its Manchester-based skin treatments centre.
The new facial profiling system assesses 17 key areas of the face and uses sophisticated software to analyse the proportions and symmetry of the facial features. The system uses the ‘Golden Ratio’ or ‘Phi’, a special number approximately equal to 1.618. The Golden Ratio is a geometric rule which appears in nature, architecture and art and is key to our understanding of beauty.
Company founder and Clinical Director, Dr Tim Pearce MB ChB BSc (Hons) MRCGP, explains the concept behind the system:
‘Golden ratios impact our perceptions of attractiveness in facial features just as they do in many areas of nature and art. Understanding what proportions an individual has can help aesthetic doctors to improve the balance for a more aesthetic result.’
‘Our new facial profiling system gives us incredibly accurate and precise data on a person’s facial makeup through hundreds of complex geometric calculations to an incredible level of detail. This quantifies what the human eye sees and enables us to identify areas which conform less to the ideal proportions.’
After detailed assessment of the facial structure, Dr Pearce is able to suggest non-surgical treatments which could improve the proportions in a person’s face. The latest generation of long-lasting dermal fillers are used to subtly accentuate and enhance specific areas in order to improve the balance between facial features, bringing it closer to the mathematical ideal of perfection represented by the golden ratio in a result which is subtle yet effective.
Dr Pearce continues:
‘Our facial profiling is about bringing as many features into harmony as possible. We call it an artistic restoration.’
‘A client can come in and say they’ve got frown lines and want to look better for their age. Yes, you can solve the wrinkles, but there’s a whole lot of other ways to improve someone’s look, providing you’re skilled at analysing a face and performing the right treatment.’
‘With cosmetic work, it’s either unnoticeable and good, or noticeable and unnatural. If a client looks “done”, you’ve probably broken a geometric rule of proportion and detail.’
‘It’s about doing little adjustments in a lot of places, looking at the whole face in context, and matching that to a deeper, underlying aim.’
