Skitter TV Is A New Service That Provides Live Streaming Of Local Stations Over the Internet With Webster-Calhoun Cooperative Telephone Association
Gowrie, IA (PRWEB) July 27, 2015 -- WCCTA is announcing Skitter TV to the 16 communities where they provide telecommunication services. Anyone with a WCCTA landline telephone and internet will be able to use Skitter TV as an alternative television service.
Skitter TV is a converged media technology company based in Atlanta, GA. The founders have a combined experience base of more than 50 years in computing, telecommunications and Internet technology, and more than 30 years in video technology, including numerous patents in video compression. Skitter TV is the company's flagship solution that is an end-to-end video platform for encoding, managing and streaming live broadcast TV to broadband subscribers.
Skitter TV allows WCCTA as the internet service provider to deliver TV to their customers. Customers that have a Roku TV box and WCCTA internet services will have access to the local channels such as NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX and over 80 national channels.
“This system fits the customer that is looking for high quality television services and their local channels at a lower price point than cable, satellite and even our current digital television offering,” states Marcie Boerner, Office Manager with WCCTA. “The service provides the local channel lineup as well as other national station packages streaming online with your Roku device.”
The new service is being rolled out in July and customers are encouraged to contact the WCCTA office to learn more as well as to sign up for the Skitter TV. As part of the WCCTA's Manage Your Media education program, Skitter TV will be demonstrated in the WCCTA office on July 28th at 2:00 pm.
