SLCC Announces Nationwide Search for New President
Salt Lake City, Utah (PRWEB) April 07, 2014 -- The Utah State Board of Regents is inviting nominations and accepting applications in its search to fill the position of eighth president of Salt Lake Community College.
Past President Cynthia Bioteau took office in January as president of Florida State College at Jacksonville. The Board of Regents last December formed a 21-member committee to search for a replacement for Bioteau after she announced she had accepted a new position.
Dr. Deneece G. Huftalin is currently serving as interim president of SLCC during the search. Dr. Huftalin has worked for SLCC for more than two decades and was vice president of student services before taking on her new temporary role as president.
Founded in 1948, Salt Lake Community College is one of eight public institutions within the Utah System of Higher Education. The school’s flagship Taylorsville Redwood Campus is located in the heart of the Salt Lake Valley, surrounded by the Wasatch and Oquirrh mountain ranges. It remains today an open-access college that provides a comprehensive set of academic programs.
