Small Batch Premier Bourbon Unveiled at Atlanta Liquor Store
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) July 26, 2013 -- Capital City Package, an Atlanta liquor store, has announced the arrival of a limited number of cases of a small batch Kentucky bourbon called Eagle Rare. The bourbon was handpicked by professional tasters for Capital City Package's clientele because of its classic bourbon qualities.
Capital City Package, a Buckhead wine and spirits provider for over 45 years, is the only Atlanta liquor store to carry the rare, small batch bourbon produced exclusively at Kentucky’s Buffalo Trace distillery. Eagle Rare bourbon is unique in its deep coloration of dark brown and gold, “classic bourbon” nose of brown sugar, spice box and mildly sweet tobacco-esque aromas. It is specifically bottled for Capital Wine and Liquor and available for $29.99 for .750 mL or a very limited selection of larger bottles (1.75 mL) for $49.99.
“We liked the Eagle Rare because of its classic bourbon qualities,” said Capital City Package Certified Wine Specialist Larry Kantrowitz. “We think our customers will really enjoy the soft and smooth palate that doesn’t have the hard or hot edges sometimes associated with bourbon. There was more debate about the Eagle Rare barrel than any other we have purchased. About 20 professional tasters tried these and this one beat out the others by just a small margin. I wish we could have purchased them all, but that is an awful lot of whiskey.”
Bourbon is a type of whiskey produced in America. The name is derived from its historical association with Bourbon County, Kentucky, named after the royal French House of Bourbon. Although bourbon can be produced anywhere in America, Kentucky bourbon is widely revered among enthusiasts.
Eagle Rare Kentucky bourbon is unavailable anywhere else in Atlanta other than Capital City Package. There are 20 cases for sale, with each bottle selling for under $30. Other notable bourbons available are nine year-old Knob Creek “Capital City Barrel #288,” Elmer T. Lee “Capital City” and 12 year-old Elijah Craig.
