Boston, MA (PRWEB) October 25, 2013 -- For the third year at the HR Technology Conference, the Talent Board, a non-profit organization focused on the elevation and promotion of a quality candidate experience, announced the winners of the 2013 North American Candidate Experience Awards.

During a special awards reception on Monday, October 7, 2013, 64 companies were recognized as winners of the Candidate Experience Awards for their excellence in the candidate experience. The winners were selected based on collections of candidate survey responses that showed an overall positive candidate experience. Through their web and mobile enabled Career Site, McGraw Hill Financial leverages video in their web banners as well as custom targeted landing pages to help communicate their employment story to the right candidates. In addition, they utilize social, mobile, email and blogging channels to share messaging and content that is relevant to financial professionals. They have also focused on cutting down the time needed to apply for their positions, a welcome change for candidates that has led to better overall applicant flow. Throughout the apply flow process, they solicit feedback to understand key areas where the experience can be improved and optimized.

At CH2M HILL, a leader in global engineering and project delivery, a core foundation to candidate experience is candidate engagement. To that end, they have identified 30 critical skills that they need to recruit for in order to be successful and have dedicated their Candidate Development team to finding and creating relationships with candidates that display these skills.

Through a combination of recruiter outreach and targeted newsletter campaigns, talent prospects are kept warm through relevant and engaging content, bridging the gap between when the next viable opportunity becomes available.

CH2M HILL also ensures that they engage with candidates on social channels where they live. They use their corporate Facebook fan page to encourage fans to consider open job opportunities while centrally measuring the success of this channel next to their other job board and social campaigns.

About the Candidate Experience Awards:

The Candidate Experience Awards (known as “The CandE Awards”) consists of three survey rounds that are designed to evaluate and recognize organizations that produce outstanding candidate experiences. Round one is comprised of a multi-dimensional survey designed to capture and evaluate the nominated company's recruitment processes and practices impacting the candidate experience. The CandE Awards program is open to all North American-based employers and is free for participating companies.

Companies that complete the first round submission process receive Employer Benchmark data. Those that meet the awards’ baseline for candidate experience participate in round two of the competition, which involves surveying a random sampling of the company's 2013 candidates. Companies that meet criteria for both rounds one and two have been awarded a "CandE Award Winner" designation stamp. High scoring companies are also interviewed by the CandE judging panel to determine areas of distinction. All CandE Award winners were honored and celebrated at the 2013 HR Technology Conference in Las Vegas in October 2013.
