Snake River Sporting Club Thrives One Year After Reopening
(PRWEB) April 29, 2015 -- Snake River Sporting Club is welcoming summer early this year, having opened the Tom Weiskopf-designed championship golf course for weekend play on March 28 and full season on April 24th. The opening marks the one-year anniversary of the Club, which re-launched in 2014 following a multi-million dollar reinvestment plan by new ownership, Cygnus Capital. One year later, Snake River Sporting Club has established itself as Wyoming’s premier private club and residential community, offering a variety of membership options, luxury cabins and homesites, and diverse four-season pursuits. The 800-acre community now has more than 180 members who can enjoy a quintessential Wyoming experience within a private club setting, as well as new amenities and programming for summer.
Ranked by Golf Digest as the “No. 1 Golf Course in Wyoming” for 2015-2016 and “No. 2 Best New Private Course in the U.S.” in 2007, the world-class golf course is fully open for the season, welcoming residents and Club members to play over 7,500 yards of stunning western landscape. Members can also take advantage of a new chef and expanded dining hours at the Clubhouse, the 26,000 sq. ft. facility equipped with a Sports Shop, restaurant and grill room, locker rooms and a furnished outdoor deck for dining and relaxing while admiring the beautiful scenery and native wildlife.
Summer kicks into high gear with the launch of the new Orvis Fly Fishing School – Jackson Hole, which will be hosted at the Club and allows for private fishing access to miles of Blue-Ribbon fishing on the Snake River. Starting in July, a series of 10 two-day intensive classes, combining classroom programming and “on-stream” instruction, will be open to fly fishing enthusiasts from across the globe.
“Over the past year, Cygnus Capital has focused on reestablishing Snake River Sporting Club as the finest residential community and lifestyle club in Jackson Hole,” says Cygnus Capital Founding Investor Christopher Swann. “We’re excited to introduce members to new amenities, programming and partnerships this summer and throughout this next year. We’re also seeing an increase in demand for real estate and an influx in memberships from both Jackson Hole locals and visitors alike.”
To meet demand, Snake River Sporting Club unveiled several turnkey luxury real estate offerings in the past year, including Tall Timber Cottages, Wagon Road Cottages and Martin Creek Cabins. The four new Tall Timber Cottages are nestled in the woods with expansive views stretching from the third fairway to the mountains in the surrounding Bridger-Teton National Forest. Construction began in late 2014, and the 3,000 sq. ft. 4-bedroom homes are currently available at a pre-completion price of $2,395,000. Cygnus Capital also acquired and renovated two homes on Wagon Road, situated along the third fairway. The 5-bedroom cottages feature over 5,000 sq. ft. of space and will be available for purchase later this spring. The Martin Creek Cabins were completed in summer 2014 and sold within four months of hitting the market. Four additional homes are expected to start construction this summer.
A plethora of amenities and outdoor pursuits are available for members to enjoy this summer, including an Equestrian Center offering boarding, trail rides and rodeos; hiking and biking trails throughout the property and in the bordering Bridger-Teton National Forest; archery and shooting clays; Frisbee golf; athletic fields for soccer and other team sports; and rafting, kayaking and paddle boarding on Club waterways and the famed Snake River. A new organic gardening program is also in the works for 2015, which will support the Club’s food & beverage programming with member gardening in the near future.
