Denver (PRWEB) July 09, 2015 -- In advance of the 46th Annual Autism Society National Conference in Denver July 8-11, Snug Vest (by Wearable Therapeutics Inc.) announces the procurement of a $500,000 CAD investment. The company develops a therapeutic vest that provides anxiety relief and stress management for families dealing with autism and will use the funds to increase marketing efforts, as well as to expand production, technology development and clinical research.
The Autism Society’s annual conference is one of the largest events to host autism families, vendors, educators, legislators and key allies to the special needs community. The conference offers more than 100 breakout sessions, networking opportunities, an exhibit hall with autism resources and tools, and a keynote presentation by Dr. Temple Grandin, Colorado State University professor and autism activist. Snug Vest will be in attendance at the conference to demonstrate its product and to meet with participants at booth 607. To secure resellers, five people will be selected to model Snug Vest to attendees.
Twelve investment groups contributed funds to Snug Vest, lead by Arc Capital Development, an early-stage venture firm that invests in companies with a double bottom line approach in the education technologies and special needs marketplace. Founding Principal Kevin Custer is a board member of the Autism Society of America, and a recognized leader in the development and growth of successful businesses in the online, enterprise and autism markets.
