Social Landlord Scores Double Success for its Staff
Edinburgh, Scotland (PRWEB UK) 4 February 2015 -- Edinburgh based Link Group Ltd has achieved the double success of Investors in Young People and Investors in People Gold Accreditation. Link is only the 6th organisation in Scotland to achieve this double accolade.
Investors in Young People is the only people-management standard that focuses on an employer’s recruitment and retention of young people. This represents a true commitment to the training and development of young people and demonstrates Link Group as an employer of choice for young people.
Launched in July 2014, Investors in Young People originated through a key recommendation from the Commission for Developing Scotland’s Young Workforce, led by Sir Ian Wood. The accreditation is offered to all businesses across Scotland and exists to recognise and support organisations across Scotland in the employment of young people.
Having now achieved the accreditations, Link Group is now eligible to use and display both the Investors in Young People and Investors in People logo and plaque, and enjoy their benefits.
With interest from over 200 organisations, Link is just the 27th organisation to achieve the Investors in Young People award, and only the 5th Registered Social Landlord in Scotland. The 27 organisations which are IIYP accredited employ over 1,000 young people.
Achieving Gold level Investors in People accreditation meanwhile puts Link in the top 7% of all IIP accredited clients.
