Social Polling App "Loop" Launches August 1, 2013
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- Seattle startup NQuiry will officially throw its hat in the ring of the growing social polling market with the launch of Loop (http://www.loopapp.co) on August 1st. Building off a successful Beta release in April, Loop has added unique capabilities including interactive results and infographics, Pinterest Pinboard integration and private polling in effort to establish itself as market leader in the social polling space.
Unlike the other social polling apps available, Loop offers greater flexibility in the types of questions users can ask (Who makes the best martini? What is the best gift for a toddler? Do these jeans look too hipster?), and is the only app to offer custom multiple choice, yes/no, and picture-based polls. Loop offers Amazon site search to help with online shopping decisions, and connects directly to users’ own Pinterest Pinboards so users can poll their friends about items they’ve pinned. For companies, Loop integrates seamlessly across existing social media channels, enabling businesses to engage with customers and grow intimacy.
A Beta version of Loop was released in April and early adopters commented on the “addictiveness” of the app, using it for everything from asking what style of suit to buy to amusing commentary on people’s habits and preferences.
What makes the app so addictive? Erin Burchfield, co-Founder of Loop, says the app builds on people’s inherent curiosity to know what others think.
“People love voting and they love polls – look at ESPN’s ‘Poll of the Day’, or polling during live TV shows like American Idol. A big part of what people find fun about polls is seeing results and how other people voted. Particularly if they can see responses from people they know. That is what makes social polling unique.”
Loop builds on this curiosity by allowing users to ask questions to their friends, networks, or specific individuals, and presents results through interactive infographics.
“We’re the only app that allows users to play with those results – filter to see responses for just women, or just people their own age,” Burchfield says. “For example, if you’re buying a gift for your Dad, you might only want to see the responses from men over the age of 40. That makes the app more interesting, fun, and in many ways, quite useful as well.”
This blend of usefulness yet entertainment is what sets Loop apart from other social polling apps. This is particularly attractive to companies, who can use the app to connect with customers in a new, more reciprocal way.
Unlike traditional surveys, Loop makes it fun for customers to engage and provide feedback to the businesses, brands or organizations they follow.
“No one likes to take a survey,” Erin noted, “because it’s all about helping some company out, but the survey respondent doesn’t get any benefit themselves. With Loop, companies are having a two-way interaction – not just pushing updates or Tweets, but letting customers respond back by voting, viewing results, and comparing their responses with others. And of course we tie directly to the existing social media channels companies have in place, so this complements their existing investments -- like icing on the cake.” Companies can embed “Loops” (polls) into their existing social media sites, whether that be Facebook, Twitter, a website or blog. Instead of one-off polling solutions across various channels, Loop offers a single tool for companies to connect with customers across all existing channels.
