Social Technology Disruptor Airtab App Acquires Millennial Start up Barhero
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (PRWEB) June 08, 2018 -- Airtab today announced it had agreed to acquire the national trendy millennial start up Barhero out of San Diego, California, which was built to let consumers know what is trending and restaurants, bars and breweries to get the word out through social media. Barhero, founded by brothers, Wyatt (25) and Davis (22) Oren was initially set up for venues to let users of the app know where to go for music, food, drink and unique experiences. Davis said, “Barhero was built for owners of establishments camouflaged for their customers."
The success of the brand of Barhero caught on in 2017 in the San Diego area with hundreds of venues and thousands of new users coming aboard overnight. The company continued their execution path of launching in other major cities on the West Coast.
Barhero caught the attention of Airtab founder, Dennis Cunnigham earlier this year. Cunningham said, “I continue to look at what others are trying to do in this space. Wyatt and Davis impressed me as innovative and driven millennials who were on a trajectory of good things. I wanted these young men and their sales team to be part of Airtab. This acquisition will take Airtab nationally overnight.” This merger will roll the founders and sales team into Airtab’s operations. The Barhero App will cease at this point.
The Oren Brothers said, “Cunningham’s remarkable record of success and his vision for Airtab and the opportunity it will bring to the mass market is paramount. He is on the forefront of innovation. We knew we had to team up. As millennials, we know what our peers want and that is a simple, easy to use source of information that will let them know what is trending, unique with good people and a good vibe. Airtab is the only one in the space offering unique experiences and free drinks.”
Cunningham’s vision is what led him to create an app that allows hotels, restaurants and craft bars to give away complimentary cocktails with new or existing liquor brands to guests while engaging those consumers on the app with the establishment and with each other. This concept is exploding for social networking, especially among the millions of millennials who communicate through mobile tech channels. The Airtab mobile app forges a virtual reality experience that engages consumers with real-time experience in the here and now. The app is Here Now, Live Now™ and allows users to see who is at the establishment before they go as well as the ability to communicate with other Airtab participants through in-app messaging bringing the virtual world into the real word. Airtab combines a patent-pending automated check-in on the mobile-based social network. Airtab is on a fast-track for growth with new divisions for music, charity and dating set to launch over the summer months in cities across America.
