Social Video Network Startup Oogor.com Seeks Crowdfunding

Oogor will enable users to time recorded videos and choose who can see them. “Control over your own video feed is extremely important to us,” said Quraishi. “We want users to have complete control over their own social media platform.” Another feature of Oogor.com will allow users to create private groups and participate in live video chat consisting of up to ten people. “By passing the chat microphone among users, noise clutter will be reduced and real communication will take place,” said Quraishi.
The company’s crowdfunding campaign invites supporters of every level with most contributors receiving a free t-shirt. Starting at the $500 level, supporters will be invited to test Oogor.com at the beta level. At the $1,000 level, supporters will be invited to the company’s launch party in Hollywood, and supporters at the $1,500 level will receive not only a launch party invitation but also free transportation, hotel, and dinner. “Once we get the network launched, we have a long list of features to add over time, including school and business connection areas,” said Quraishi.
