Socialpreneur Tey Por Yee & Gomif Partners Helping 40 At-Risk Veterans With Basic Needs at Paris Cyber Workshop
Paris, France / New York / Washington DC (PRWEB) June 20, 2017 -- Gomif Partners joint-advisor & socialpreneur Tey Por Yee, sponsored Jake’s Diapers (JD) initiative to help 40 at-risk veterans with basic needs as part of the Gomif Partners’ Socialpreneurship corporate social responsibility (CSR) program awareness.
JD serves babies around the world living in devastatingly difficult situations, where sometimes a choice has to be made between food and diapers. Sadly, this includes Veterans here in our own community. These Veterans tend to be living in poverty, as well as suffering from PTSD and other traumatic illnesses and are struggling to provide basic needs for their families. This project will provide a complete supply of cloth diapers to our Veteran babies from birth to potty training.

There are more than 40 Veterans with young, infant children in the Fox Valley whose lives are impacted by suicide. These Veterans receive support and help from the Center for Suicide Awareness, and tend to be suffering from PTSD and other challenging mental illnesses. They find themselves in a dire situation of being unable to meet the basic needs of their children, including an adequate supply of diapers to keep their babies and toddlers clean, dry and healthy.
According to U.S.News, the new VA chief says it will take longer that President Barack Obama’s administration had predicted to end homelessness among veterans. Secretary of Veterans Affairs David Shulkin, addresses a House Veterans’ Affairs Committee’s hearing on Capitol Hill in Washington. In a May 5 interview with the Associated Press, Shulkin said he thinks reducing the number of homeless veterans nationwide from roughly 40,000 to 10,000 or 15,000 is an “achievable goal” for the Trump administration. A simple contribution to JD’s program would help 40 veterans with basic needs, something ordinary people can do to contribute back to society.
