Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America and Cambridge University Press Announce Publishing Partnership
New York, NY (PRWEB) April 30, 2014 -- The Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) and Cambridge Journals, a division of Cambridge University Press, have announced a new publishing partnership for SHEA's flagship scientific publication: Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology (ICHE). Cambridge Journals will publish the journal starting January 2015.
Now in its 35th volume year, ICHE is published monthly, providing high-quality original, peer-reviewed scientific articles for professionals in epidemiology, infection prevention, and infection control programs in hospitals, medical schools, private practice and related healthcare settings such as long-term care facilities.
The journal supports scientifically authoritative, clinically applicable, peer-reviewed research on control and evaluation of the transmission of pathogens in healthcare institutions and on the use of epidemiological principles and methods to evaluate and improve the delivery of care and patient outcomes. Major topics covered include infection prevention practices, guidelines and guidance documents, surveillance, antimicrobial stewardship, outbreak analysis, environmental issues, occupational health, and regulatory issues.
