Society of St. Vincent de Paul Aligns with New Car Donation Program - The National Vehicle Donation Program (NVDP) Gets a New Alignment
(PRWEB) July 25, 2016 -- The National Vehicle Donation Program (NVDP) created in 2008 by the National Council of the United States, Society of St. Vincent de Paul to help local chapters raise funds for their emergency assistance programs and other mission driven programs. Established in 1833, the society of St. Vincent de Paul has grown into one of the largest charitable organizations in the world. Nationally based in St. Louis, Missouri, membership in the United States has grown to over 160,000 caring men and women who volunteer their time helping the suffering and needy in 4,400 communities across the country.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul offers help, hope and healing to those who have nowhere else to turn. The Society provides services and programs such as personal visits (to homes, hospitals and prisons), housing assistance, food pantries and dining halls, transportation, local thrift stores, medical assistance and care, disaster relief, job training and placement for the elderly and incarcerated, as well as for individuals and families in need.
This organization is grateful for its supporters and offers a variety of ways to help in their mission. The nonprofit group Charitable Adult Rides and Services has partnered with The Society of St. Vincent de Paul to provide donors with an opportunity to dispose of their old cars, boats, trucks, motorcycles, ATV’s, even RV’s while contributing to the monetary needs that fund so many invaluable programs and services. Donors are comprehensively assisted throughout the donation process by receiving a free pick-up or towing of their vehicle and an opportunity for a potential tax break.
“From a national viewpoint, CARS is able to help with marketing campaigns and is eager to understand the complexity of our organization. From the local Conferences and Councils, they are excited about the higher revenue per car and responsiveness to questions,” said Nathan D. Martin, national director of fundraising programs. More importantly our donors are pleased with the strong support they are receiving from a well-respected organization, known for their customer service.”
